A photo booth is a good time regardless of how old or young you happen to be. I know I’ve taken some classic picts in a good ole’ photo booth at the Jersey Shore or Coney Island throughout the years. I even may have some funny ones of Cando’s Co-Founder, @centcreative laying around on my desk somewhere. Definitely good times.

So imagine our surprise when we got an email from the developer behind Party Booth, John Wu. Party Booth is an Adobe AIR app that lets you set up your own photo booth anywhere you happen to have a computer (w/ a web cam) and an internet connection. What makes Party Booth really interesting is that its tied into the social ecosystem of Twitter. So besides being able to shoot 4 up photo strips and postcards that you can store on your local hard drive and print later, you can have them shared on Twitter using TwitrPix in real-time.

Run it in a fullscreen kiosk mode, add a custom image or logo for your party or event, customize the on-screen messages and you’re good to go. People line up with their friends, press the space bar and wait for the countdown timer to capture the moments. The photos are shared on Twitter using TwitrPix and guests can even add their Twitter username so they receive an @reply with a link to the photo.

Download Party Booth (Windows / Mac OS X) and give it a try.
